For those of you who haven’t heard about this yet…. I’ve taken on a £50 beauty challenge – which means I’m only spending £50 over the next 365 days on beauty! It’s designed for me to use up all the stuff I’ve got and stop me buying new pointless things for a little while.
So, here’s my empties post and progress update……
Since my last Challenge Update post I’ve got through a whole bunch of stuff, which is super refreshing – I’ve hoarded so much over the years that I’m really enjoying finally using things up. I thought it’d stress me out to see things running out when my budget is so tight, but actually I’m just really pleased to get a bit of clutter out. It’s made me try out lots of products I’ve bought but barely used, like coloured eye shadows etc. So I’m actually really enjoying it!
I’ve been especially using samples I’ve acquired over the years. I always keep them but never use them so it’s been good to test a whole bunch of new foundations. At some point I’ll be doing a roundup post of all the different foundations I’ve tried and which ones I liked…..
Bye bye more of my gorgeous Creme de la Mer Cleanser. So sad to see it go – definitely on my Christmas list!! There’s nothing quite like it……
And here’s my purchases……
Two different types of dry shampoo to do a comparison post to my beloved Batiste – these were in Poundland so I couldn’t resist trying out some more brands. Plus a silver nail polish that I found in Waggy Tails charity shop. I LOVE my gold Barry M metallic polish, so thought I’d branch out into silver when I found this bargain (plus it was only 50p!)
This is such a fun challenge! I should start one too! In dollars of course 😉

Yes you must!! Dollars would be an epic challenge though – go for it!
That’s so cool! What a hard challenge though, I wouldn’t be able to stick to it! I followed you because I can’t wait to see how you get on and also I love a good budget blogger! 😀 xx
Yeah it’s pretty tough but I’ve got to be ruthless as I’ve got so much to use up! So far I’m surviving…. it was originally £100 so you could try that instead! Off to check out your blog now 😀
It is a brilliant idea though, because I am one to completely forget about products I already have and then I just buy new ones! Thank you!
Yeah, I discovering loads of great lipsticks, concealers, eye shadows etc that I totally forgot I had! Loving it 😀
I think I’m going to do it! Sounds great! 🙂
