This week I graduated from uni (yay!) but that also means I now begin my quest to become a successful social entrepreneur by starting Find Me (please like us on Facebook!). Much as this is super exciting, it does mean I’m probably going to be rather poor for a while, and coming from a student that probably means very very poor. On the other hand, having finally moved all my stuff back into home from uni I’ve realised there just isn’t anywhere near enough space for it.
So, I’ve been trying to think of ways to make/save money. I might blog a bit about it over time, but this week another blogger’s (A Thifty Mrs) idea really caught my eye…..
She pledged she’s going to spend £100 on beauty over the next 365 days. I agree this might be tough if you are buying everything from scratch, but what she is actually trying to do it use up her existing terrifying stock pile. Now THAT is where I can relate! I hope you’re all the same and I’m not just scandalous, but I have a huge amount of beauty products that I love but have never got round to using up.
So, I’m going to follow her lead and go for it! But I’m feeling super crazy and am going to cut it to £50. That’s only £4 a month but I think it’s worth a go. What do you guys think? Is it possible? Do you want to join?
Here is her original blog post – http://www.athriftymrs.com/2013/06/1-year100-beauty-challenge.html
And here are the rules:
Includes hair care, makeup, body products (fake tan, moisturizer), nail products, deodorant, perfume, shower products, shaving, toothpaste etc, tools (brushes, sponges, etc)
Doesn’t include hair cuts (although I spend very little on this anyway), suncream, medication
And here is a photo to prove just how much stuff I need to use up! Thoroughly embarrassing really. And I’m not going to lie, there’s more in the bathroom…..
So, bring it on and maybe one of these days I’ll be able to post about all the space I have in my room!
