Bournemouth Vintage Emporium – Blogger Meetup

bournemouth_vintage_emporium_14This week I was kindly invited to the blogger opening evening at Bournemouth Vintage Emporium. Of course this is EXACTLY my scene so I was thrilled to go along and support. They’ve been around for just over a year now and I’ve been a couple of times before.

As with other warehouses they let a selection of local people sell in personalised segments, but unlike others they are really fussy about who they let in. There are no shabby chic upcycled Ikea furniture, or mock vintage – everything is gorgeous and genuine.

I took heaps of pictures but here are my favs so you can get a bit of a sneak peek! If you want to see the Emporium for yourself head along to 1172 Christchurch Road (Bournemouth).

There were loads of other fab bloggers there – many of whom I hadn’t met before! Here’s the gorgeous Jess browsing, from JessicaRevill.com. Keep reading to see what gorgeousness is on the end of that lead….

All the sellers are allowed to decorate their area any way they want so the whole warehouse is full of awesome hidden worlds and creative inspiration.

Of course I couldn’t go to this event wearing anything other the sparkly vintage! I opted for a cream and gold beaded top, denim shorts (because it’s super sunny – woop!), silver converses (to avoid looking overdressed) and my favourite fake Givenchy bag.

Beaded top –  eBay – £3.99

High waisted denim shorts – eBay – £1.99

Silver converses – £4 – Lewis Manning charity shop, Ashley Cross, Poole

Givenchy handbag – Thailand market – £8

Everyone found super cute stuff to buy, and there was a huge variation available. Here’s Jess again with sunglasses and a bracelet, plus Laura from Max and Mummy unearthing a vintage milk bottle to use as a vase and some retro books.

Sarah from DaisyChains and Dreamers was all about the adorable floral dresses – she was in heaven!

Thanks so much to everyone at Bournemouth Vintage Emporium for giving us such a warm welcome, and generally running a fab operation. Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram, and head down to Christchurch Road to visit for yourself.
