A while back I did a video shoot with the super talented David Slater. I always adore working with him and he brings out the best model in me time after time. This time we did a video shoot rather than a photoshoot, and I’m not gonna lie – it’s pretty epic.
About the Look
I chose the song before we chose the location, theme or outfit so it was all totally inspired by that. I always adore the Missguided ads to knew I wanted something with a chilled out grumpy-cool girl feel. It’s always tricky to find uncopywrited music but it’s so exciting when you find the perfect thing and can give a teeny artist a little boost. This track is by Skulastic, and was quite a gem to find! Of course all the clothes are thrifted charity shop goodies so no change there. I decided to go for quite simple black as I knew it’d pop against the lighter backgrounds at the disused carwash near my house. Wanted something to give a striking silhouette, but then to soften it with my favvvvvvourite silky butterfly jacket. Little black boots seemed to be the ideal footwear as I didn’t want to go one step too far from cool into slutty by adding heels.
My makeup was done by Hannah Catherine who is an absolutely amazing makeup artist. When we did this shoot she’d only just qualified but this is quite possibly my favourite photoshoot makeup I’ve ever had, so she was off to a flying start. She somehow made everything look totally flawless, and then we added my all time favourite lip product – Revlon Colourburst in Striking. I friggin’ love it!!
So, without further ado – here’s the video….. comment below if you’d like more videos and maybe I’ll get that YouTube channel thing back off the ground.
