DIY Couture Footstool

Another fab homeware thrifty DIY from the fabulous Sinead! Hope you’re ready to be amazed….

This footstool cost £5 from the Metro second hand furniture store, Ashley Road, and was in a really bad condition. But, having bought some £3 gorgeous John Lewis fabric it was totally transformed. You could also do a similar thing with leather to make some classy leather bar stools* like you see out in bars and restaurants.

Of course one could do a proper furniture recovering course, but I find a few rough stitches works perfectly fine too!

A few comparable items online (obviously costing heaps more!)

So – think differently about worn out things you see in charity shops, and you can save yourself a fortune!
