DIY Vintage Book Door-stop

Our official homeware bargain expert Sinead is back again! And this time she’s been raking in the bargains at a huge Sue Ryder sale in the grounds of a hospice just outside Henley-On-Thames. This sounds well worth checking out! Apparently the mens section was huge and really great for both girls working the Granddad/Androgyny looks, or actual guys (?!).

The books were 30p each and she’s stacked them into an adorable vintage door stop. Apparently they’re worth £5 each to collectors so quite the find on so many levels!

Rose printed cushions – £2

Love the mix of three different rose patterns.

Of course you could also make your own ties from adorable ribbon, which is a really cheap way to make normal cushions tidy and vintage like this.

But how did you make it..?

Well at the moment it’s just stacked but I think she should glue them together. That’s assuming she loves them enough to not sell them on at £5 each though!

I’ve had a better idea! Perhaps tying with brown string and a ribboned bow would be best. Then it will all stay together, you don’t have to commit to glue, and it practically has a handle for picking it up!
