Five Young Female Entrepreneurs Who Inspire Me

As a self proclaimed #girlboss I love seeing other young women succeed in business. Today I thought I’d give a shout out to some of my favourite up and coming start ups, all run by fabulous ladies. So here goes…

Georgie – Founder of Beau XOXO

Beau XOXO sells adorable girly and fun handmade hair accessories. They’ve been worn by the likes of Little Mix and Zoella and are sold all over the world. Georgie has everything from flower crowns, to glitter bows, knitted headbands, chain headpieces, turban headbands, butterfly hair clips, wire headbands, dolly bows, bow headbands, hair scarves, hair bows, and more – what a list!

She truly is an inspiration in her world domination, and how gently and kindly she does it. Georgie is such a loving soul, and someone you know will always be happy for your success.

Jade – Founder of Fertha

If you guys have been looking closely you’ll know by now that my all time favourite London charity shop is officially Fertha. Jade and I met via Instagram (so modern aren’t we!) and she invited me to come check out the shop. She set it up and runs it herself (7 days a week no less!) and it’s super innovative. She carefully selects clothes from the shops or warehouses of local charities she supports and then sells the things on their behalf. It means they get a much wider audience and she gets the pick of the bunch. She’s got a fantastic eye, and the prices are extremely reasonable and varied (not something I expected from Notting Hill!). I find Jade super inspiring as a business woman and ethical retailer, and she will make you feel like an old friend as soon as you walk through the door.

Alice – Founder of Here4You

I’ve been friends with Alice literally since she was born, and it’s been so exciting to see her first business getting off the ground. Here4You is personal assistant service for elderly people who want to stay living in their own homes. She does things like driving for days out, supermarket shops, online help, booking plumbers, changing lightbulbs – all the kind of things you don’t want to bother your grownup children with, either because you don’t want to be a burden or they live too far away. I love that it’s an ethical startup, with a commercial mindset, and she’s filling a gap between corporations and charities that is desperately lacking. She’s so inspiring in her energy and enthusiasm, and I can see why all her clients love her so much!

Larissa – Confidence Coach

I owe my entire Digital Nomad experience to Larissa – I met her in Thailand and she inspired my to start making an income on Udemy. We created a course on how to Be Your Own Personal Shopper {use the code PAUPERFAN to get it for $10} and she’s also got a bunch of courses on becoming a confident and powerful women. She really does practise what she preaches, and is a beautiful women through and through!

Ria – Co-founder of AnaRae Store

I went to University with Ria, and since then I’ve been getting major Wanderlust vibes from her social media. She and her cofounder Justine travel the world sourcing local artisans to partner with. They sell stunning ethical accessories on their site, all handmade, and largely recycled. It makes tribal jewellery accessible to the every day woman, without looking costumey. I’m totally in love.

Me – Founder of ImpossibleToBuyFor

As Sophie Amoruso (GirlBoss incarnate) herself said – “Be your own idol”, so I’m going to include myself in this list and hope you guys don’t think I’m mad. I’ve just launched a new website called ImpossibleToBuyFor.com where I’ve picked out the best Christmas gifts from Amazon and put them in one handy place. There’s no markup so you get things as cheap as possible, and you can even integrate with Amazon Prime for free next day delivery. Check it out, tell your friends, and of course BUY STUFF!

Writing this post has really made me realise how lucky I am to be surrounded by such great mentors. Of course the list of women who inspire me is ten times longer, but to have 5 great young entrepreneurs in my inner circle like this is a real honour. I’d certainly encourage you to try and draw as many motivated and optimistic people near you as possible – it could just change your life!
