Last weekend Marit (who writes the DIY section of the blog) and I had a wonderful visitor from England – also known as Saucy Sinead and who has many bargain fashion finds featured on this blog! Here a few more from a great weekend….
We found our way to a piano/Liverpool bar for a sing along and glitter-off. I’ll let you pick the winner.
Marit wears:
White vest blouse with floral collar and detailing- £5 – Primark sale
Black and gold heels – £2 – Majorstuen flea market, Oslo
Sinead wears:
Black vest top – £2 – H&M
Printed chiffon dipped hem skirt – £5 – Mary Portas charity shop, Barnes
Louise wears:
Blue beaded vintage top – £2 – Kviberg flea market, Sweden – also in black here!
Brown ‘suede’ high waisted shorts – £5 – BikBok sale
Black and gold heels – £2 – Majorstuen flea market, Oslo
Blue nail polish – £2.99 – Barry M
Sinead wears (outfit 2!):
Silver and black butterfly printed sequin top – £4.50 – charity shop in Farringdon that’s closed down – booo!
Black strappy top – £2 – H&M
Guess how we met? Yup – dance classes!
I promise this wasn’t posed – Marit is a genius photographer!
You have got to be kidding me with those heels! £2 ?? That’s nonsense. They look fabulous. I love all the sparkle. I have a red sequin jacket/sweater that has been in hiding since I purchased it; waiting for the right moment for it’s debut!
By the way, thanks for the re-blog! I really appreciate it. I love that you’ve taken the initiative to start a second-hand charity store centered around students! It’s awesome that it’s not about the money for you, you’ll be helping change the definition of consumerism ;).
Most thrift stores in Canada are “centered” around a charity but realistically maybe 10% actually goes to the cause, so what you are doing is fantastic.
I look forward to hearing how everything is coming along!
Cheers
Thanks – yeah it’s all pretty exciting! If you want to keep up to date with the store it’s http://www.facebook.com/findmecharity
Keep up the great blog!
