Mixing monochrome with neon - OOTD

I wasn’t planning on posting the OOTD but I got so many compliments today I thought I’d better share! Sorry the photography is a bit sketchy, it was getting dark by the time I got home from work. But…. excuses aside – hope you like the outfit!

I was going to wear all monochrome today, but then at the last minute I threw on my favourite neon necklace to give an extra bit of energy and fun. So glad I did!

Houndstooth peplum top: £2.49 – eBay

Neon necklace – £1 – Primark sale

‘Trouser look’ leggings – Gap sale

Black and brown boots – £5 – eBay

I know it’s still acting like summer weather, but I have missed all my winter boots so brought out my first pair today.

What do you think? Is monochrome a trend you’re on board with? It’s really flattering but sometimes a bit more colour can be great to cheer you up in Winter…. would love your thoughts in the comment boxes below!

I often look like a walking rainbow, but lately I’ve also been drawn to neutrals with a bit of color. Gorgeous outfit, and you look so lovely! I actually wondered the same with such a monochrome top and pattern, but I think you’ve answered your own question as you do look amazing!
