Summer is DEFINITELY here now, and so I thought you guys might like to know what I always make sure I’ve got with me by the beach.
Seeing as I’m based in Poole I’m pretty much a full time beach bunny from May-September, so I’m never far from my Beach Bag essentials. So, when Naja (a gorgeous ethical underwear and swimwear brand) asked me to blog about what I couldn’t live without I was right on it!
Sun cream

Of course sun protection is an absolute essential. I have fair skin so always have bottles dotted around my car/bedroom/handbags to make sure I’m not caught out. This one is from Poundland (bargain fest!) and seems just as good as any expensive brands. Winning.
Face SPF
On the other end of the price spectrum is my precious Creme de la Mer ‘The SPF’. It’s got a consistency like a primer so I vastly prefer it to suncream to use on my face. I’d highly recommend getting yourself an SPF primer or face specific suncream as the body versions will definitely bring out spots and grease!
Plenty of layers
I always try and pack a chiffon high-neck long-sleeve top as it’s inevitably my chest that burns. You don’t want to overheat but it’s important to have the option of a bit of extra skin protection if you want it. Having said that… this is the UK and you never quite know what the weather is going to do so I ALSO always pack a snuggly sweater. We often end up staying all day and having an evening BBQ so a warmer option is essential.
Beach hut keys and sunglasses
Luckily for me my parents have a beach-hut, so the keys to that are probably my most essential beach item of all. Sitting and people watching with a bacon butty and an ice cream are all you need for the perfect day. Of course, sunglasses also don’t go amiss either! I got these lip shaped ones from a charity shop in Bristol and I adore them.
Bikini
And finally….. a bikini! Of course I’d never head to the beach without my best tanning and swimming kit. This one is from Primark and was £7 for the set – I adore the little pineapple print and the ruffle is really flattering for us smaller chested girls.
Speaking of… do go check out the Naja website – I’m totally in love with everything and am hoping to do a review for you guys some time soon. My favourite item by them has got to be their ethical swimwear – it’s made from recycles bottles (awesome right?!) and is stunning. #wishlist
