30 Day Declutter Challenge – Days 6-9

Evening de-clutter bugs!

What’ve you been up to for the past few days? We’ve been getting things out the house to charity shops or bins!

Here’s what we achieved….

Day 6 – 6 jewellery boxes

(resist the urge to keep them ladies!)

Day 6 declutter challenge

Day 7 – 7 sunglasses/novelty glasses

Day 7 declutter challenge

Day 8 – 8 placemats (plus coasters)

Day 8 declutter challenge

It’s already getting a bit tricker as time goes on…. 465 sure is a lot of items! But we’re also really looking forward to the achievement and zen-ness. Bring it on….

Fantastic–keep up the good work, ladies! I started a major wardrobe edit a couple of months ago because I just have too much STUFF. Probably a half dozen big black garbage bags have exited the premises so far; 3 or 4 more large paper grocery bags will follow this Saturday, And, at some point in the next couple of weeks, the Spousal Unit will devote at least one half hour to going through his own stuff, He did miss his first half-hour review-and-toss appointment today, but where’s there’s life (and a determined partner) there’s hope. Goal for the New Year: Think more carefully before buying.

Great job!! I am considering a ‘one in one out policy’ once I get clutter free – but don’t know if I’ve got the guts! Hehe….

Worth a try! Once when I lived in a studio apartment, I had a “one in, three out” policy for everything–household and clothes, and I stuck by it for the whole time I lived there (2 or 3 years, I think). It was tough at times, even though I was thrifting far less than now, but I loved how clean and clear the place looked–very calming. So that’s a motivation to try it again, at least for awhie . . .
