I had a charming email from Lover.ly this week asking me if I’d compile a wedding inspiration board for them! They asked me to be inspired by one of the gorgeous wedding dresses they offer. Of course I’m a total wedding fanatic so was glad to do a theme centred around this unbelievable blush pink Vera Wang wedding dress. I’m really loving the blush theme right now for brides (as seen on Kaley Cuoco and Reese Witherspoon to name just a few) and thought this dress was really individual, but wouldn’t look dated in thirty years time. I love the combinations of flowing fabric but fitted bodice as it makes it graceful but still structured. Perfection!
Thought I’d go super girly for this theme – a baby’s breath headdress, bow hair style, diamonds (natch), and Tiffany coloured bridesmaids.
The Lover.ly site is designed to help brides plan their big day, with a collection of inspiring images, details, dresses, and plenty of ‘real life weddings’ for you to steal ideas from! You can also save the images into collections for later. Super handy, and beautifully curated.
Of course my day (when it eventually comes!) will be all thrifted and second hand, but I’ll be stealing all my ideas and inspiration from sites like this before I hit the charity shops/carboots. Gotta get the vision from somewhere!
What do you think – fit for a princess or too sugary sweet? I personally think you can never have too much pink and glitter!

Lovely choices, Louise. Very feminine and romantic. That dress is a stunner! Re “diamonds (natch),” Mae West said, “Without diamonds, honey, I’d feel undressed.”
I feel Mae and I would’ve been great friends 😉
