Tartan has been EVERYWHERE during the recent fashion weeks – everyone from Cara Delevingne to Rita Ora was rocking some black and red.
So, today’s W.O.D item was this adorable short sleeved sweater top with little Scandinavian style hearts on it. I don’t often wear it as short sleeved sweaters can be quite tricky, but I’m really into the pattern clashing thing at the moment so thought double-tartan could be a fun outfit! I bought these shorts in Boston and have been planning to shorten them, but as you can see I haven’t got round to it yet, and I actually kinda like them like this! I think I’d like to add a black matte ribbon down the side like tux trousers for an extra fashion edge.
I styled this with a low slicked back pony tail and parting to keep the beauty simple in contrast to the OOTD patterns and colours.

I love the top, it’s so sweet! 🙂
Oh, excellent! I love tartan–or plaid, as we call it here. When I was a kid, I had a little metal lunchbox in red plaid–just like the trousers I found at a thrift this past September (http://lookatthoseclothes.wordpress.com/2014/09/19/donald-wheres-yer-troosers/) Some things never get old!
Too cute! Love giving clothes a second life that have already lived a long first one 😛 Bet you’re wishing you kept that lunchbox now as a cute handbag!
