The easiest route to super chic

This week I went a networking event for those looking for employment in the charity sector to pick up some contacts for Find Me Charity (the company I’m starting at the moment!).

I wanted something really really simple, chic and straightfoward that would still be memorable and stylish…. my secret weapons are always a maxi skirt, metal belt, white shirt and cape coat.

  • Maxis are really warm, very comfy and very very stylish so I couldn’t live without mine!
  • I have a couple of white button up shirts and I love to wear them buttoned up to the top with a necklace over the top, or with jeans and a blazer untucked, or of course high waisted.
  • This belt is inspired by the Stella McCartney one (as featured on Gwyneth Paltrow) and there’s plenty of DIY blogs out there to make them too.

Grey cape – £4 – Goodwill charity shop, David Square, Boston, USA

Black maxi – £5 – eBay

White shirt – £1 – Scope charity shop, Ashley Road, Poole

Gold wide metal belt – £4.49 – eBay

Gold ballet pumps – >£5 – H&M

Gold necklace – £1 – Miss Selfridge sale

Red nail polish – £1.99 – Barry M Gelly
